Naomi R. Cromwell joined the firm in January 2005. Her practice encompasses municipal law, administrative law, insurance defense, insurance law, education law, worker’s compensation, general civil litigation, and appellate work. She is admitted to practice before the South Dakota Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Naomi is a 1999 graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Law. While in law school, Naomi was published in the South Dakota Law Review, served as a member of the Board of Editors of the South Dakota Law Review, and participated as a member of the USD School of Law Trial Team. She served as legal intern for the South Dakota Office of Hearing Examiners, and then as a Hearing Examiner immediately following graduation.

Naomi served as law clerk for the Honorable Justice John K. Konenkamp of the South Dakota Supreme Court. Upon completing her clerkship, she joined the legal staff of the South Dakota Division of Insurance, where she was the Division's General Counsel from 2001 through 2004 before joining Tieszen Law Office. While at Tieszen Law Office, Naomi has assisted clients facing civil litigation ranging from contract disputes to auto accidents to special education issues.

When she is not practicing law, Naomi enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Robert, and their dog, and occasionally testing her luck at catching a fish.
