Naomi R. Cromwell joined the firm in January 2005. Her practice focuses on municipal law, administrative law, insurance defense, insurance law, and appellate work. She is admitted to practice before the South Dakota Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Naomi is a 1999 graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Law. She was published in the South Dakota Law Review and served as a member of the Board of Editors of the South Dakota Law Review. Naomi also participated as a member of the USD School of Law Trial Team. Naomi served as an intern for the South Dakota Office of Hearing Examiners while in law school, and immediately upon graduation returned as a Hearing Examiner.

Following her graduation from USD School of Law, Naomi served as law clerk for the Honorable Justice John K. Konenkamp of the South Dakota Supreme Court. Upon completing her clerkship, Naomi joined the legal staff of the South Dakota Division of Insurance, where she served as the Division's General Counsel from 2001 through 2004 before joining Tieszen Law Office.

When she is not practicing law, Naomi enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Robert, and their dog, and occasionally testing her luck at catching a fish.
